Duchamp often repeated that to understand his project one had to put the Large Glass and the Notes together: "the conjunction of the two things (Glass and Notes) entirely removes the retinal aspect that I don't like. It was very logical" (as cited in Cabanne, 1967, pp. 42-43). |
