Defining Abstraction::
An artists view of abstract art:

     What is abstract art? A Challenge! It tests the skills of the artist to reflect reality in a new way, to explore spaces untouched by others. What is abstract art? A mirror!. It reveals the soul landscape of its practitioner. Raw feelings presented in the simplest forms and colours. Abstract art is the essence of what is named reality. It is the true flower hidden within the colour and petals, hidden within the form, that form seen only with the eye.
      Abstract art presents the flower seen by the soul. I feel abstract is the most personal art form, for in revealing the essence of what is around myself, I must reveal my very own essence. It is a test of myself and the audience. Abstract Art requires boldness, bravery. Most artists, myself included, can copy reality. A face is a face. A copy is a copy. Machines can copy. To seek truth, the face behind the face, the spirit must dare much. I will not except surface truth. Within each of us is that place that I seek. As all truth begins with birth, my search begins in the place of all birth, the womb. In quiet stillness, my figures silently reveal truths beginning. Within their magic power circle there is a movement. Life comes. Life is the egg.
