Claude 
                  Monet was the great Master of Impressionism, and the bridge between 
                  19th century painting and modernist painting. Weeping Willow Giverny 
                  contemporarily with the Water Lilies. It was part of a series that 
                  was Monet's homage to France's fallen soldiers painted in the wake 
                  of World War I.
